The Head and The Heart Sign to Sub Pop Records

Despite the lack of an official release with the information, it seems as though hotly tipped Seattle band The Head and the Heart have signed on with Northwest indie Sub Pop Records.  Sales for the band’s self-titled debut album are exploding, with the record hitting the Billboard Heatseekers chart this week, and now being tagged in industry databases and in the iTunes music store as released on the Seattle label.  Knowledge of the band signing to Sub Pop has been rumbling around the industry for a few weeks now, with no official word, after a label-frenzy that was unlike any that the A&R community had seen in quite a while.
