Ghost In The Machine

Ice: "Yo where's mine?"

"yo where's my label gig?"

You may remember back in January when we were first to share about the action at Epic Records with Amanda Ghost slated to take a head position; well, this week Sony Music honcho Rob Stringer made the official announcement of Ghost’s new role as President. With the ink barely wet, label insiders share that the selection has caused some serious kvetching in the Epic corridors.

But that’s not all…we now hear that continuing the Rubin Doctrine, Sony Music brass is positioning to place Canadian 90’s rap/reggae one-hit wunderkind, Snow (aka Darrin O’Brien), in a senior position at Zomba, the label group division within Sony. A licky boom boom-down indeed. Stay tuned…

Awesome choices!….sounds like Sony could use another senior executive who was a singer in Green Jelly(Jello!)…please forward requests to Hotsy Menshot.
